Association Nationale des Infirmleres et Infirmleres du Togo

In 1981, at the end of a West African tour by Mireille KINGMA, organized by the International Council of Nurses (ICN), a working session laid the foundations of an Association of Nurses of Togo. The recognition of ANIIT within the CII was effective in 1990. Since 1992, ANIIT has been plunged into a deep sleep characterized by a period of total inactivity due to the socio-political crisis that our country experienced in the 90s.It was only in 2006 that a group of IDE, IAE and AAE leaders took the final decision to revitalize the Association. These leaders involved all the former members of ANIIT and all the IDE, IAE and AAE in Togo. The role of students from nursing schools was also not negligible in this revitalization process.
