Dr. Habib Kourouma

Habib Kourouma is a seasoned international health economist with extensive expertise in public health systems and development policy across West Africa. He holds a Master’s in Public Health from the prestigious École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique (EHESP) in Rennes, France, and is an alumnus of the Centre for Studies and Research on International Development (CERDI), Université d'Auvergne.
Dr. Kourouma has served as a consultant to multiple international health bodies and currently collaborates with the World Health Organization (WHO) on initiatives related to health financing, policy planning, and strengthening health systems in developing regions. His experience spans both academic research and high-level policy advising, making him a vital voice in the region’s healthcare development efforts.
He also serves as the Chief Secretary for Guinea at the Health Community of West Africa (HCOWA) Association, where he plays a key role in coordinating national-level strategies, stakeholder engagement, and regional integration efforts for improved healthcare delivery.
