Dr. Paulina Mefia Denteh is a Ghanaian medical doctor, healthcare innovator, and global health advocate. She made history as the first African to receive the prestigious Red Diploma from Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University in Russia, a recognition awarded to the most outstanding graduates. Her journey in education and leadership began at Methodist Senior High School in Ghana, where she played a key role in the school’s first robotics team and was part of the inaugural National Science and Maths Quiz team. Her passion for excellence continued throughout medical school, where she served as a teaching assistant from her fourth year until graduation. Dr. Denteh is currently leading an innovative project aimed at solving long queues and limited access to doctors in Ghana, a solution that has the potential to revolutionize healthcare accessibility. She is also the Founder & CEO of Remedy Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare access and education in underserved communities across Africa. In recognition of her dedication to women’s health, she was recently appointed as the Director of Women's Health & Wellness at the Health Community of West Africa Association (HCOWA). In this role, she focuses on advocacy, education, and the development of healthcare initiatives to improve the well-being of women across the region. Dr. Denteh’s work is driven by a passion for innovation, equity, and impact, and she continues to push boundaries in AI-driven healthcare, digital health solutions, and women’s health advocacy. She believes that with the right strategies, partnerships, and commitment, healthcare in Africa can be more accessible, efficient, and inclusive.
