Hon. Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan is the Central Regional Minister of Ghana, a position she assumed after serving as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Agona West Municipal Assembly from 2017 to 2021. Her career in politics has been marked by her unwavering dedication and hard work within the New Patriotic Party (NPP), where she held various leadership roles at both the constituency and regional levels.Her journey with the NPP began as a polling station agent, and she subsequently took on roles as Women Organizer and Deputy Constituency Organizer for Agona West Constituency. She also served as the Deputy Regional Women’s Organizer in the Central Region. In 2017, her exceptional performance led to her appointment as a government appointee at the Agona West Municipal Assembly, where she later rose to the prestigious position of MCE.

In addition to her political accomplishments, Hon. Justina Marigold Assan is a professional teacher by training. She holds a Certificate ‘A’ from OLA College of Education in Cape Coast and pursued further education at the University of Education, Winneba, where she earned a Bachelor of Education in Home Economics and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Home Economics.

A passionate advocate for women’s empowerment, Hon. Assan has delivered numerous presentations on the subject at both local and international conferences. She has also mentored many young women, who have gone on to excel in various fields.

Hon. Mrs. Assan is married and the proud mother of three children. In her leisure time, she enjoys reading, sewing, participating in seminars, and cooking.
